Blue Bell Creameries announced today it will begin distributing ice cream to select markets on Monday, August 31.
Blue Bell has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and state health officials in Alabama and Texas of its plan to re-enter select markets on a limited basis.
“Over the past several months we have been working to make our facilities even better, and to ensure that everything we produce is safe, wholesome and of the highest quality for you to enjoy,” said Ricky Dickson, vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “This is an exciting time for us as we are back to doing what we love…making ice cream!”
Razzoo's Cajun Cafe is celebrating the Grand Opening newest location on University Drive in College Station this Monday, August 17.
Their food is authentic Cajun, it’s made from scratch every day in each restaurant and it’s darn good. Some of it sounds a little weird, like Rat Toes (really, they aren’t) or the Grilled Gator Tail (really, it is). Some of it is hard to pronounce, like the Shrimp Piquant or Chicken Tchoupitoulas – feel free to point when you order (that happens a lot).
They can't wait to see you there!
Where would James Bond point his Aston Martin were he to be heading down University Drive across from Texas A&M University? At the present moment....not sure.
However, next month, when The West End Elixir Company opens its doors on Church Street, we will know where to find Mr. Bond should he choose to come see the Aggies BTHO some SEC team this fall.
Mr. Bond can have his Martini just the way he likes it, but he may wish to stray and try one of over 75 craft quality cocktails on menu. Bartending at its finest.
Blue Bell Creameries has been cleared by state health authorities to resume production
Downtown Bryan's hot spot for fine wine and good times also boast a menu that is simply delicious. With scarcely more items than you can count on your fingers, Downtown Uncorked proves that less is more with tempting creations like Italian Nachos and a Pesto Pizza with a drizzle of Balsamic Glaze for a unique kick.
Just because a restaurant has an outdoor patio doesn't mean your furry friend of the canine variety is allowed to chill with you on said patio, as many dog owners have discovered the hard way. However, Bryan-College Station does offer a fair share of eateries that welcome pets on their patios, some even going so far as to provide water bowls and treats for their puppy patrons.
Following is a list of local restaurants that welcome dogs on their patios:
This photograph of the old Fatburger Northgate location brought back memories of some of my friends who worked there back in the day...and of many delicious burgers eaten in that building which was razed to build one of the new apartment complexes at Northgate.
Made me want to ask EatBCS.com readers:
What are your favorite restaurants of the past?
What were your favorite menu items?

Casa Pachita is the new Mexican restaurant at Texas and Southwest Parkway in the Planet Fitness Center. Walking in, you notice the bright colors on the wall (pink and green to match their eye-catching sign) and the bright smiles on the faces that greet you.
Several friends have been urging me to give this unassuming and totally authentic Mexican eatery a try and now I see why. Great and unique Maxican food!
Love everything I've ever had at Cenare. Tonight, I had the gnocci in a Pomadoro sauce... Love the perfect kick of garlic in the sauce and the Gnocci were awesome as usual.
