Flip & Peel Burgers & Ritas Opens New Location on Freedom Blvd. In Bryan

Burger Baron Charles Stover has opened the second location of Flip & Peel Burgers & Ritas in Bryan at 3203 Freedom Boulevard. in the shopping center next to Casa Ole. The first location, in Post Oak Mall, has been drawing customers to the food court for the best burgers (and turkey burgers) in town for a couple of years. With the new location comes new menu items including the Spicy Juarez Burger and Margaritas. Of course, the Bacon Double Cheeseburger that Texas Monthly made famous from its review of Stover Bros. Burgers several years ago is still on the menu.

New Cafe Eccell Location Opening This Month

Been too long since you've savored a Strawberry Tart at Cafe Eccell?

Your wait will soon be over when Cafe Eccell opens the doors to its new location (in the former Luby's) just north of University Drive at 4401 South South Texas Avenue in Bryan.

Opening day for the new location has been set for August 20, 2014. Check the Cafe Eccell facebook page for updates as opening day approaches.


Brazos Valley Food Bank Hosts Feast Of Caring

Brazos Valley Food Bank will be hosting the annual Feast of Caring on August 13, 2014 at the Brazos Center from 11am to 1:30pm. A modest meal of bean, rice, sausage, salad, and dessert representing the best lunch some of our neighbors in the Brazos Valley ever get. The meal is free and served by local celebrities, but donations are gratefully accepted.


New Juice and Smoothie Bar Coming Soon To Northgate

Northgate will soon have a new healthy option for juice and smoothies. The Northgate Juice joint is under construction at 215 University Drive.

They will be committed to offering fresh juices and smoothies made from the freshest produce available, local and organic when possible, particularly for the “Dirty Dozen” that are known to have more pesticides and chemicals on them. They will support local farmers and employers by utilizing their produce whenever possible.

You're The Chef At Genghis Grill

Glad we finally tried Genghis Grill on University Drive. I have no idea what I made but it had a lot of shrimps and scallops, veggies and potatoes. Whatever you do don't forget to add an egg or two because this is actually Chinese stir fry. The guys at the grill did a great job of cooking everything perfectly. I would go back for sure. In fact, I signed up for the rewards card where you get a free bowl on your Birthday.
